Why use Pure Ratios?

Pure Ratios uses a blend of 5 ingredients, which are inspired by ancient Eastern traditions, for restorative purposes. 

1. Ginger

Ginger originated from China and has been traditionally used for a variety of reasons ranging from its qualities in aiding digestion, to being used for nausea and in helping to fight the common cold and or, flu. Gingerol is the main bioactive ingredient in ginger, which is  responsible for most of the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

2. Black Pine

Black pine is an essential oil derivative of the Pine tree needles and contain naturally occurring terpenes that give it a very fresh and strong aroma. As such, pine has been used in aromatherapy in various ancient practises. Further to this, black pine is also acknowledged for its anti-inflammatory properties however, due to its strong aroma, it is most popular as a fresh and uplifting scent.

3. Cardamom

Cardamom has been used in traditional herbal medicine for centuries and although it is accessible globally, cardamom originates from India. Cardamom has been known to lower blood pressure due to it he volume of antioxidants it contains. Further to this, cardamom also has a diuretic effect on the body, which means  that it promotes increased urination and this is helps with ridding the body of excess water. That could build up around the heart and or, joints. Among the anti-inflammatory properties that cardamom contains, it is also known for supporting the digestive system and or, digestive problems. 

 4. Frankincense 

Frankincense is also known as ‘Olibanum’ and is made from the resin of the Boswellia tree, and this tree only grows in hot, mountainous and dry climates such as, India, the Middle East and Africa. Aside from the strong and fresh aroma that frankincense is usually associated with, it is also very well known for its powerful anti-inflammation properties. Frankincense contributes largely to preventing the release of leukotrienes, which cause inflammation and by preventing the release of leukotrienes, frankincense also helps with asthma as it Prevents the bronchial muscles from constricting in asthma.

5. Turmeric 


Turmeric has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb. One the main ingredients in turmeric is curcumin, which has powerful anti-inflammation effects and antioxidant qualities. The strong antioxidant qualities of turmeric means that it can aid in the neutralisation of free radicals in the body, meanwhile boosting the body’s antioxidant enzymes. Thus, it blocks free radicals directly, while stimulating your body. In addition to this, turmeric improves the function of the endothelium, which is the lining of your blood vessels. 


Ultimately, the common factor between all of these key ingredients and CBD is their anti-inflammatory qualities. With such a powerful blend of ingredients that are high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory qualities,  being infused with the calming effects of CBD, this creates a blend where all of the ingredients work together synergistically, boosting the effects of one another.
